About Dr. Litvack
Dr. Marla Litvack is a licensed child psychologist working in private practice in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. Dr. Litvack specializes in conducting psycho-educational evaluations and providing individual therapy to school-aged children and adolescents. Dr. Litvack holds a doctorate in School/Applied Child Psychology (Dean's List) from McGill University (accredited by the American Psychological Association). Her pre-doctoral internship was at the Day School of the Deveureux Institute in Pennsylvania. She also earned a Master of Arts in School/Applied Child Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts (Distinction), both from McGill University. She is also a member in good standing of the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec (OPQ). Her goal is to ensure each of our clients and their families has their needs addressed skillfully and with compassion.
Getting Started
A doctor's referral is not needed to see a psychologist. Although fees for psychological services are not covered by Medicare, many insurance plans cover a portion of psychological services. Since the amount of coverage varies between plans, it is recommended that families check with their provider. It is important to note that psychological fees can be deducted as a medical expense on your personal income tax return.

Dr. Litvack is trained to work with children and adolescents from ages 5 through 18 years and their families.

Centrally located in the West Island suburbs of Montreal, on the Trans-Canada Highway at Saint-Jean Boulevard. Free parking is available.
Appointment Times
Psychoeducational assessments are generally scheduled in the morning when children tend to be rested and at their best. All assessments are held face-to-face. Psychotherapy is provided online or in person, depending on the family's preference, the child's age and presenting concerns, and Dr. Litvack's availability. Please note that initial consultations, feedback sessions, parent coaching are held via telehealth (Zoom). Evening appointments are limited.
Payment Schedule
Dr. Litvack will review details about payment prior to beginning any assessment or psychotherapy. Fees are to be paid by e-transfer at the beginning of each session. A receipt including the psychologist's license number and credentials will be emailed.
